Protect yourself and others from COVID-19

As of Saturday, June 11, 2022 Ontario public health guidelines were updated; masks are no longer required on public transit. Bus operators and passengers can continue to wear a mask if they feel it is the right choice for them, but it is no longer required.

Remember, we are all on this ride together. It is suggested that passengers follow these health and safety guidelines when riding with Kingston Transit:

  • Practice hand hygiene by using alcohol-based sanitizer and washing your hands before and after taking transit.
  • Avoid travel during peak hours, whenever possible.
  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
  • Do not take transit when you are sick or have symptoms.
  • Enter through the front door and exit through the rear door to maintain one-way flow.

Follow the directional signage and stay behind the red zone identified on the floor at the front of the bus.
